Cruising
If you like visiting new ports and exploring unknown destinations, if you like having fun, meeting people and making friends, if you like sharing ideas, information and experiences, then cruising is for you.
Our cruising group has a reputation for hospitality and warmly welcomes newcomers from the sailing and power boat fraternities. Boat owners are always seeking crew to join them on their adventures, just send your details to the club office to be added to the crew register, no previous experience required.
Dover has an unrivalled position, providing an excellent base for exploring the British and North European coastlines. The club has built an excellent rapport with our French counterparts in Calais, Boulogne and Le Touquet, where our crews are always welcomed with open arms and the odd glass of wine or two! Some yachts often sail much further afield, including the Isles of Scilly, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Brittany and the Channel Islands.
Below is our 2022 outline cruising program, which includes trips to Brighton, Eastbourne, Boulogne, Dieppe, The Solent, Holland and beyond. For more details, contact our office to be put in touch with our Rear Commodore Cruising.
Our club has a very strong affiliation with the Global Offshore Sailing Team (GOST). GOST is a multinational group of sailors who come together, to sail routes around the world in commemoration of great naval missions and to pay respect to those who bravely gave the ultimate sacrifice.
